In good working order, this Guyatone was made in Japan by Hoshino Gakki in the mid to late 70s and because the body had so many scars and stickers all over it I decided to just go with a heavy relic look. I also installed a custom thumb rest for added comfort.
The Camphor body provides a good round, warm tone and is also quite light weight making the bass very comfortable to use.
The neck is a slightly slimmer version of a traditional Fender p, with a slim C grip and a 41mm nut width.
It is a very well made bass that competes with the likes of Fender Japan of the Fujigen Era.
It acheives a very comfy 1.5mm setup and the frets have a good 70% remaining.
The pickguard is not the original and the pickups have been replaced with brand new Fender Japan Issue ones.
