A rare specimen from one of Japan's best acoustic builders at the time, Morris, who were well noted for their incredible ProMartin, Martin copies, and are based in Matsumoto, like many other revered builders are.
This is a full size jumbo body acoustic in traditional materials tgat produces a big clear sound thanks to it's jumbo body in hard maple and spruce.
It is incredibly well made, on a par with famous American builders like Guild, Martin or Gibson. The materials are quite beautiful with the maple being nicely figured solid pieces, and not veneers.
The fretboard and bridge plate are in kurotan, an ebony like wood native to Japan.
The condition is very good, entirely original with only minor surface scratches as pictured and no major dings to speak of.
The truss rod is still operational and it is set at nominal relief with a string height of about 1mm
It is strung with medium gauge Martin brand phosphor bronze strings.
