Another incredible modern jazz bass from top Japanese maker, Moon. This is long standing session bassist, Mitsuro Sutoh's original signature model. Sutoh is most famous for his work with T Square.
He has two main models out, this one in Alder, and the other in Ash with Oxalis pickups.
The pickups are Moon custom shop overwound modern Jazz, with very accurate, hot and punchy response, in the JJ format with the angled front for a more tight response on the lower strings, making it fantastic for recording as well as live performance.
The neck features a slim D grip with smooth taper for extra comfort, and the fretwork is just perfect with rounding and polishing to the nth degree.
The preamp is a simple two band Bartolini xtct, with cut and boost, a simple control set, much like the Larry Graham, of Vol, Vol, treb, bass, but with a tone switch added for further dimension.
This bass is designed for minimum fuss, sleek simplicity and optimal sound and playability, and it delivers on all fronts.
