In excellent condition for it's near 20 year vintage, this is one of Japanese master-builder Satoru Yatsuzaka's early builds, prior to STR having their own custom bridges and pickups made.
This one sports a beautiful spalt maple top with matching headstock and finger ramp, a super even grained ebony fretboard with fish-eye inlays (brass ringed), and a one piece swamp ash body.
The neck is 3 piece quarter sawn hard maple with gorgeous heel detailing at the angled headstock join.
As always, even though this is an early build, the response, sustain, playability and feel is as good as any of the later builds we've had the pleasure of carrying. It's truly one of the finest basses you'll play, up there with your Sugi, MTD, Sadowsky, Ken Smith etc etc.
Currently this kind of spec would be priced at about 560000JPY if new, and this is your chance to own this unique work for only 340000JPY
