Simply one of the most beautiful basses you will ever lay hands on. Nick Sugimoto, the cheif of Sugi , is renowned for his work with Ibanez and is regarded as one of Japan's top builders. His small dedicated team hand build these and the high end ibanez at their Nagano based workshop. Sugi use only the finest materials and hardware and developed their own unique pick ups that are beautifully balanced in output, virtually noise free, and very accurate and true to the instrument and sound excellent in the mix . Recording with a Sugi bass needs nothing but direct signal, it just sounds great as it is.
The playability of Sugi is incredibly smooth and easy, achieving very low action if desired.
